I don't normally write reviews here on iTunes, but after renting and watching this and seeing the critical reviews which could not seemingly see the forest for the trees, I just wanted to provide my opinion. I've seen countless thousands of films and live and breathe for good quality cinema as well as artists in earnest, simply trying to tell a story. When I watch Sean's stories that he chooses to tell and pour his heart and sincerity into a project that may be near and dear to him, I feel fortunate to experience the emotions and thoughts that I am left with. He is an amazing artist, director and most importantly, a human being touched by the world around him and engaged in trying to bring plight into the narrow spotlight of our lives. Kudos Mr. Penn. Let's continue....

Poignant, riveting drama that takes one on a journey through the heartbreak of war and its most innocent victims! Charlize Theron and Javier Bardem do a good job of portraying the confusing side of “healing” in the midst of so much death!
