Bad Blake is a broken-down, hard-living country music singer who's had way too many marriages, far too many years on the road, and one too many drinks way too many times. Very good. Well written, directed and shot. Really well acted. Bridges is excellent. Gyllenhaal is excellent too, and she'll have you looking for other films she's done and looking out for others she'll be in.

I'm an avid movie fan, and a big Jeff Bridges fan, and I loved this movie. I think the story was great, amazing direction, fantastic performance from Bridges. When I was watching, I forgot it was Bridges, and I was looking at Bad Blake. But, this movie is pretty slow for movie fans who watch them when they get bored. But I enjoyed it alot when I saw it expecting a movie similar to Walk The Line, which this was. Get it, and watch it. This is not a movie that you throw on while your e-mailing or twittering or whatever you guys do.

This movie was a very, superb movie. Great acting, great music, and a great plot. This movie isn't one of those love stories where the guy gets the girl and happy ever after. No, this movie is raw and can possibly make you cry. Me and my mother did, having an alcoholic dad before, made this very hard to watch. But it was great, and the music was fantastic. Quite possibly, one of my favorite movies ever.

I went into this movie with zero expectations, it was before it won any awards, and I had not seen any previews. I walked out stunned by the acting performance of Bridges. All the actors were good, but he was amazing. He brought this very untidy character to life so realistically and with no personal vanity. It was like watching a hidden webcam of a man, no Hollywood prettiness covering up his ugly moments. Yet, Bridges drew me into the character, and I cared about him as if he were a real person before the final credits. Very well done. This movie is not about special effects and shock value, it is just a story. But a story so well told, you will think about it long after you see it.
