Where are the darn subtitles iTunes?? When I watched this in the cinema, it had subtitles.. I love that the movie stays true to the book and thus appreciate the Italian and French dialogue, but without subtitles a lot of the important details surrounding Opus Dei and the intrigue within the first 15 minutes is missing. Subtitles please! As a movie review: great, solid movie quite faithful to the book and its key premises. Gorgeous cinematography of beautiful Paris and its art, architecture and historical sites.

I dont remember this when I saw this movie originally in the theaters here in the US, but all the scenes in France that didnt involve Tom Hanks were all in French. You miss half the movie because you dont have a clue what the actors are saying unless you understand the language.If you didnt read the book you would be totally lost. It would have been nice to know this before I paid $18 for the HD version of the movie.

Not only are there no subtitles for the considerable amount of French dialog, there is no closed captioning. I'd like my money back for this one.

I'm extremely disappointed. I've never seen the movie before, but I've been told by many that there should be English subtitles translating the spoken French, Latin, and Italian in this movie (which is a good chunk). I've been left guessing what they said. I want a refund!!! Definitely reporting the problem.

Great movie mystery. But they’re incorrect in representing the symbolism in the movie. The Star of David for instance is a representation all 4 elements in balance inside the tree of the universe or flower of life. The pentacle being the 5 elements including your souls connection to the physical world. Not just a symbol for occult activity.
