Not worth buying

It's worth renting to satisfy seeing the trilogy, but you won't see it twice.

Should have ended the same as the book

Totally ruined the larger story from the book. They totally switched the ending which made it a pointless movie to watch. Boooooo Ron Howard.

Dissapointing

The movie was entertaining, but deviated from the source material. I read the book, and would have liked to have seen Ron Howard and Tom Hanks do he actual book ending, where they fail to stop the virus, but it doesn't kill off a great deal of the population, only sterilizes a third of the population. Ending was way too unsatisfactorily for me. It presents a real global threat, and they just brush it under the rug with the Happily Ever After ending.

Like the book? Won't like the movie.

If you haven't read the book this movie is based on then you will probably enjoy this movie a lot more then if you've read the book first. I loved the book but they totally changed characters, took out characters and didn't follow the book at all. It made some of the characters in the book that were likable, totally unlivable characters. Some characters totally lost their whole reason for being a character when they took the ending and totally twisted it into the opposite of what it was supposed to be. The revelation at the end of the book gave pause and made people really think about what the book was about. The movie does nothing of the sort. Skip it!

It does NOT worth even $1 !

My first ever comment on a film, which costs me $6.00 to rent and I hate it.
