I've heard script writers say the foundation of good writing, particularly in sci-fi, is to not to delude the audience with too many "hard to believe" circumstances." Hypnotic" breaks this rule… oh, about every 5 minutes! Halfway into this dreck, I seriously wondered “why would Ben Affleck agree to be in this film?”. I assume he read the script? Although Mr Affleck isn’t the biggest star in the universe, he certainly has enough star power to pick and choose what he appears in. None of this… Affleck’s choice to be in this film, and this utterly absurd story made any logical sense to me. The writing was jaw dropping lazy. Apparently, quickly making up whatever what was easy to move the story forward was the option the writer took. Just laughable, but unfortunately - boring. And what was up with the red coat uniforms? I’ll stop here.
