Terrible

A terrible film with unlkable characters, a contrived plot, wooden performances, and a dreadful script. And how they could make the jump from Newman being a long-haired fully-integrated Apache to an educated, articulate white guy does not work. No doubt, this is a film that all participants would have been eager to forget.

Basic and the best

My all time favourite movie.

Best Western Ever Overlooked

It wouldn't surprise that most folks who love westerns would not rate this as highly as other big ticket cowboys, e.g., Wayne, Eastwood, etc. So if you like superman- lone ranger - type heroes, (without tongue and cheek, e.g., 2007 "3:10 to Yuma" which I love) this ain't for you. On the other hand, if you want real issues and people, great dialogue; great acting. . . I'm betting this movie will outlast the other tin-star fluff .

5 Star Western

If you like original westerns that stay with you a few days, here it is.
