Honestly, I did not think that I was going to like this movie, at all. I gave it a try on netflix, and I was amazed at just everything about the movie. It is like a piece of art that just pulls you in. Watch all of the Hellraisers, and you won't regret it. BUT, like every other modern horror flick, the last of the Hellraisers was terrible. WATCH THEM ALL.

I have never read the book from which this movie was adapted, The Hellbound Heart, but I own the movie on DVD, and I’m thrilled that it’s part of my collection! I rented the movie as a teenager in the 90s, and there’s no doubt about it—this movie is HORRIFYING!!! Great acting and casting, stylish directing, and some of the ghastliest special effects, makeup effects, and gore effects that have ever been featured in a movie! This is a masterpiece!

Opportunity is there, to make a perfect and true adaptation of Clive Barkers Hellbound Heart. Loved the short story, as did many others. Hellbound Heart is prophetic and original. A giant cut above the rest. Hell, the first Hellraiser wasn’t bad but could be so much better. It could be everything! If anything, the remake or whatever should be a true telling of the book. Trust me.
