[3:00] Erin discusses the early stages of life, from ages 0-5 and 5-10, and the lack of significant issues with food or body image. However, from ages 5-10, she started receiving messages about being too big and weighing too much, primarily after pediatrician appointments, leading to a restricted diet by her mother
[11:00] Erin shares her decision to lose weight before starting high school by counting calories and increasing physical activity and how this weight loss led to a boost in self-esteem and more attention from her peers
[14:00] Erin goes on to discuss how the loss of her first relationship led to feeling of inadequacy and how comments about her body affected her self-image and ultimately the beginning of her experience with bulimia 
[37:00] Erin and Lisa discuss Erin’s belief that being thinner would lead to happiness and fulfillment persisted until finally admitting to her husband that she had a problem and made the commitment to seek therapy and work on recovery
[40:11] Erin recounts finding the OOTC podcast and how Lisa’s approach deeply resonated with her and made her feel understood and less alone; after two years of listening to the podcast and following Lisa on social media, Erin decided to join the group coaching program
