The excitement of getting a new property to hunt whitetails is a tough feeling to beat. Whether you purchase a new piece of ground to own, pay for a lease, or even just get permission on a piece of ground, the mystery of what you will see takes hold. From the first day of scouting it, you begin to look for signs of bucks in the area, rubs, scrapes, even sheds. You are looking for places to hang stands, where to put food plots, what ever you can to give you the best chances of success on this new farm. One of the biggest thing to figure out on a new piece of ground is where the deer are bedding. For new hunters especially, it can be tough to identify what a bedding area is.
