177: Navigating Empowering The Future of Public Health with Dr. Jan K. Carney, MD, MPH, MACP

Dr. Jan K. Carney, MD, MPH, MACP is the Master of Public Health Program Director and is Associate Dean for Public Health and Health Policy and Professor of Medicine at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. Dr. Carney is active in public health practice, research, education, and service. She served as Vermont’s Commissioner of Health under three gubernatorial administrations, championing improvements in children’s health insurance, preventing teen smoking, and improving cancer screening.
