The military's transition to a new multi billion dollar contract to move service members' personal belongings from place to place was delayed for years by bid protests and information technology problems. Well now it looks like it's finally full steam ahead. The first long distance moves under the new global household goods contract are now underway, and DoD thinks it's going to be able to fully implement the contract for domestic moves by next summer.
