The 2024 FOCAC summit in Beijing has concluded. Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted 50-plus leaders from African nations and leaders from regional and global organizations such as the United Nations, African Union, etc. The summit adopted the Beijing Declaration on Jointly Building an All-weather China-Africa Community with a Shared Future for the New Era. The leaders also approved a three-year action plan till 2027, in which China committed 360 billion yuan, or about 50.7 billion dollars, in financial assistance for Africa.What does the Beijing Declaration entail?
