Get to know the history of your community.

You need to get out and be with the residents, listening and engaging them in conversations. The more you can do that, the more you can understand if not then you want be part of the solution
Go to a event to hear what people are talking about
Take part in a neighborhood clean-up, volunteer at a food bank, or do one yourself and invite the community

The more you can understand your neighbors, the more God can use you to minister to their needs

God has you in a community for a reason. Know what impacts the people in your community so that you can meet their needs.
