The Hills Have Eyes (2006)

Director: Alexandre Aja
Release Date:

Based on Wes Craven's 1977 suspenseful cult classic, The Hills Have Eyes is the story of a family road trip that goes terrifyingly awry when the travelers become stranded in a government atomic zone. Miles from nowhere, the Carter family soon realizes the seemingly uninhabited wasteland is actually the breeding ground of a blood-thirsty mutant family...and they are the prey.

An Improvement

This movie is powerfully frightening. It's a suspenceful, well acted, and bloody tribute to the 1977 grindhouse classic. It's nicely shot, paced, and is filled with over-the-top horror. It's hard to beleive that this is the version that was approved by the MPAA. I don't want to know what was censored out.

OFFENSIVE

THIS MOVIE WAS SO EXTREMELY DISTURBING AND DISGUSTING I HAD TO SKIP THROUGH HALF OF IT. IT IS OFFENSIVE AND VULGAR. I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO ANY HUMAN PERSON. I HOPE THAT PEOPLE WILL READ THIS COMMENT AND MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION TO NOT TORTURE THEMSELVES AND WHOEVER IS AROUND THEM. good luck.

ONE OF THE GREATEST HORROR MOVIES EVER MADE

I have never seen a horror movie get to an audience like The Hills Have Eyes. Alex Aja (who did the brilliant High Tension) took a terrible film (even for its time) and made a terrifying, disturbing, and absolutely flawless horror film!! AMAZING!!

how can this film be rated so highly?

Aja seems to be quite adept at creating repulsive, perverted characters and images, but that does not constitute a scary film. This film is a waste of time. How much acting talent do you need to scream and cry (or in the case of the mutants, growl and bellow)? There are good actors in this film but THIS does not showcase ANY talent, from anyone involved.

I love this movie

This movie is really good you need too watch it lots of action and messed up scenes
