what if u grip it like a two seam and angle it because thats the way i always pick up a ball is with the horse shoe like a two seamer and how i throw a fastball and also i dont know if u are supposed to try and get spin on a two seam i just pitch it how i normally throw without and spin

I read an interesting article on the New York Times. Roy Halladay asked Mariano Rivera for help throwing his cutter. Mariano Rivera threw his cutter with the horseshoe facing out, Roy Halladay in. The emphasis of the grip was on thumb placement. Mariano Rivera curled his thumb underneath the ball and had his thumbnail end up in line with his middle finger nail. Mariano Rivera was also slightly overloaded as you demonstrated in this nice clipz

I always did it just by using a 4 seam grip and taking my index finger off.
