The post-NJO story, especially the Swarm War and beyond as led by Troy Denning, ruined the EU for me, to the point the EU stops with the NJO for me. I also prefer the Clone Wars during the PT to what we got with TCW.

The First Order not withstanding, I think that New Canon handles the Imperial Remnant much better than Old Canon. There is just so much STUFF that happens in Old Canon, much of which I think is just as outrageous and unrealistic as what is shown in the sequel trilogy. Even the setup of The First Order is very compelling IMO. Basically everything surrounding but not directly shown by the sequel movies.

I have got to say, Disney needs to Look at Legends and Start taking Notes. They better Fix the Major Screwup they did in the Sequels with Ruining Luke.
Also, the Top Hat Mercenary Confederation, over 100 years after the Battle of Endor would Love to get their Hands on some Imperious-Class Star Destroyers as well as Pellaeon-Class Star Destroyers (despite also Holding on to Clone Wars & Imperial Era Ships).

Well for the Sith Imperial War there are a few details that are wrong: Originally Fel agreed to let the Jedi find evidence of the sabotage but the council overruled him and the Third Jedi Purge wasn’t as successful with the Ossus Massacre having about half of the Order being killed with several either in hiding or regrouping at the Hidden Temple
