Kingdom Two Crowns

Data rilascio:

Kingdom Two Crowns is a side-scrolling micro strategy game with a minimalist feel wrapped in a beautiful, modern pixel art aesthetic. Play the role of a monarch atop their steed and recruit loyal subjects, build your kingdom and protect it from the greedy creatures looking to steal your coins and crown.

In the brand-new campaign mode, monarchs must now work to build a kingdom that stands over time until finding a way to defeat the Greed for good. Explore the environments to discover new mounts and secrets hidden across the vast land.

But you don’t have to rule alone! Introducing cooperative play to Kingdom Two Crowns, monarchs can now choose between a solo experience or seek the assistance of a friend, working together locally in classic split screen while sitting next to your fellow monarch, or even across from them on opposite sides of the device in the custom mobile feature of tabletop coop.

In addition to the traditional medieval setting, Kingdom Two Crowns also includes:

Official Synopsis: -

In the award-winning Kingdom series, players took on the role of a monarch struggling to build their kingdom up from nothing. Hundreds of thousands of players across the world explored, recruited loyal subjects, and defended nightly against the persistent threat of the Greed – but they did so in isolation, and as with all things in Kingdom, nothing lasts… until now.

Kingdom Two Crowns builds upon the challenging micro strategy experience with an evolution of the celebrated franchise. Introducing the brand-new campaign mode, monarchs must now work to build a kingdom that stands over time until finding a way to defeat the Greed for good. Recruit new unit types and develop advanced technologies to bolster your defenses. Explore fresh environments to discover new mounts and secrets hidden in the deep. Revisit and revitalize your kingdom in its entirety as you move onward through the campaign.

But you don’t have to rule alone! Introducing a cooperative play experience that is totally unique to Kingdom Two Crowns, monarchs can now choose between a classic solo experience or seek the assistance of a friend, working together dropping in or out at will.

A challenge awaits all who seek it here, whether you are a first-time ruler or a longtime fan. So be brave, great monarchs, for in the end Two Crowns shall reign stronger than one!

More Lands to Rule in Updates
Kingdom Two Crowns will be expanded with post-release updates that will venture to exotic biomes across the world. On day 1 of release, players can journey to lands inspired by the landscape, architecture, and culture of feudal Japan. Play as the mighty Shogun or Onna-bugeisha, enlist the support of the ninja, lead your soldiers to battle atop the mythological Kirin, and form new strategies as you brave the Greed hiding in the thick bamboo forests.

We will continue to keep the feeling of exploration, discovery, and strategy alive in Kingdom Two Crowns with many more themed biomes, each with unique styles and features that marvel the eye while changing how you rule the lands.

Key Features:
BRAND-NEW CAMPAIGN MODE: Built upon the classic micro strategy that made Kingdom successful, monarchs can now build lasting kingdoms in a multi-stage campaign to stop the assault of the Greed for good.
TWO CROWNS TO RULE THEM ALL: The struggle to build your kingdom need not be ventured alone! Strategize and defend your realm together in local drop-in/drop out co-op.
NEW FEATURES, NEW STRATEGIES: A wealth of new features from technology upgrades to unit types to secrets to enemies, monarchs will need to plan wisely to see their kingdom flourish.

@SwitchUpYt

So many games are released for the Switch every week these days. Which games have you picked up recently? I've just bought the physical version of the Banner Trilogy. Happy gaming. Glen

Remember planning is everything in this game, so dont block your farms by walls and dont send your troops out when its late!
Did the challange's carry over to the switch? Trade Routes, Plaugue Island (my favourite because you essentialy are on the Greeds turf and all you can do is "survive"), Skull Island (Its back again) and Dire Island.

@Djm619

Can you review the new standalone of their series, Kingdom Eighties.

@DJdeliverance

You have to play the game as if they are only able to face the side they're on beside the farmers but the left side only mostly work om left n thr right only on the right og your camp is what I'd found

@jimbuddy9142

terrible review! ... did you fail to notice that your character moves as slow as a slug? ... even when the game allows you to run ... did you fail to notice that all you you do is walk back and forth and occasionally press A ... that's it ... no jumping ... no shooting or sword swinging ... you spend most of your time back tracking ... it is incredibly irritating at how slow you move, and how little there is to do ... there is absolutely no strategy involved at all ... even worse, it is NO FUN... at all ...
it looks and plays like a 2nd grader's computer project ... it takes forever to load ... it looks like crap ... and plays like sh*t ... and somehow you missed ALL of this ?!?!?
i bought this, partly based on your review, and i definitely regret it ... i am definitely starting to question your opinion, after you gave this, and Roku's Island Express, (another total POS of a game) glowing reviews ...

@kennykij1

Switch is pathetic, how can this not be 60fps

@rulyo4773

The parallax effect in this game is awesome. Especially the water

@Weemix4

Just got this game and spent about 5-6hrs playing it. Honestly? Very not impressed. The absolute complaint is the new villager spawn rate in the 'outside' camps and their movement speed once they've been recruited. New villager spawn rate was like 1 every 2 days. And then You'd go into the deep end to find those few huts, by which time already 30-40% of the day would be spent, then You'd recruit them and being slow as snails, the new villagers would be smacked and killed when the night would come, because they wouldn't even be able to reach your kingdom in time!!! Such a flawed concept, or at least it was for me. In addition, flawed AI, as you've mentioned in the video, was extremely occasional in my game. Especially with catapults-two engineers would get in them, occupy them and then just SIT in them until they get killed! Like wtf? I'd prefer them building smth during day time, like hunters hunting, not just standing there, which is just wasting man power, especially considering low new villager spawn rate, as mentioned before. Furthermore, day/night times are so messed up. Once You'd spread your kingdom a fair bit, it'd take you a full DAY to get from one end to the other, making mundane tasks such as further extending the borders and cutting down the trees and recruiting new villagers, taking your whole days time! Music was average as well. It is indeed pretty, but only for tiny short bursts, because the day time is so limited.... it's problems causing other problems, causing another problems... I dunno, maybe it's just me, and I'd be happy to admit it, but I've found this game borderline mundane, boring and frankly - quite broken. I'd give it 4/10. The concept appealed to me quite a lot, but delivery, messed up AI, and inability to grow at the rate that you want to grow were the deal breakers for me... thank you!

@borisbold9605

Very well written review

@aparou647

Can someone recommend me a game similar to this one on the switch

@sofiacorales57

I'm so glad I subscribed to your channel. Every time I need a review because I want to buy a god price game most of the time you have an honest review with explanations.

@BBIAJ

"Addicting" is such an American and unnecessary word, has no place in a British review 😉

@Smuffful

Hey Glen, I really enjoyed the picture you painted at the end of your sound/graphics section. It was really emotive and I think you described the impact that descent into night and the break of dawn had. Gonna pick this up since it's now on sale, thanks for the review!

@cory7328

The hardest thing now is pure accessibility to games.
And the awesome sales left and right. Great games and killing my pocket. These games are a beauty to see as well.

@Toddis

Fair view of pixel art, in going to go forward using your explanation of when it's implemented well
