If you remake the story and character development then might as well call it Final Fantasy 1: The Sequel because it wouldn't be the same game. They remade the parts that could've been remade without besmirching the core gameplay and perfected them.

Don't get me wrong. I loved Origins, it's Final fantasy after all and is still amazing. I also know origins (FF1/2) are snes/nes remakes. But I thought the remake (Origins) could've done more to reinvent the plot and story, seeming as they practically reinvented the game's as a whole. The character involvement was non existent almost, no real storyline and understanding of where to go. But even taking that into account, it was still extremely addictive, which I guess is what makes FF so great.

I got my first ps1 bought for me in 1998, when I was 7, but I never played a FF game for it. I did have a demo disk though with the FMV intro to FFVIII which I was absolutely amazed by. I am now 20, and am playing through the lot (Recently bought a load of PS1 titles). Completed FF origins, thought FF1 was poor, lacked story. FF2 was an improvement but still lacked story. Am now halfway through FFIV and it's great. Although graphically origins was better, the character involvement in IV is great

Yes Chrono Trigger is one of the best JRPG I really enjoy it, And Yes I love FFIV it's one of my favorite FF games So go buy FF Chronicles and have fun :D

Hey Scott, I am pretty close to buying FF Chronicles that also features Chrono Trigger. I've read dozens of like reviews and some regard CT as the greatest jrpg. What's your take on it? Also, do you like FFIV?
